His brother operates a dental practice in Tennessee, and his sister is a dental hygienist in Texas. He completed his residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, specializing in pediatrics. When not perfecting smiles, Marty is an active outdoor sports enthusiast and can often be found running, wake-boarding or skiing. But his favorite sport is indulging in family time with his wife and partner, Rachel, and their two boys. He has a heart for dental mission work and treated patients in Nicaragua in 2008, offering dental care needs to the people in that region that never would have received any due to the extreme shortage of dental providers throughout the country. Marty is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), and Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (TAPD).
